This is the newsletter for August 2023 from the Foundation for Market Information Research to its relations, including the participants in its actions, its sympathizers, media professionals and app users.

Subscription is now available on SOMI app

As of today, SOMI launches a subscription feature. Now you can subscribe to use our services as much as you need it, with hassle-free cancellations.

We came up with 3 auto-renewal subscription plans according to the amount of data requests and durations. For all of the subscription plans, you can enjoy unlimited data-leak check and you can add up to 3 minors that you are a legal representative on your account without any costs. The prices and features for each plan is as follows:

Daily limits for subscription

To prevent our system from becoming overloaded with the number of requests from subscribers, we have set a limit of 4 requests per day. This daily limit only applies to the Collect, Collect & investigate and Collect & erase features respectively. There is no limit to the number of Data Breach Check per day. The daily limit will be refreshed everyday at midnight, and every time the subscription renewed.

FAQs

1. Does subscription works when I request data on behalf of minor(s)?

Answer: Yes, subscription can be used to request data for minors if you have parental authority or are otherwise entitled to represent them in legal proceedings. You can add up to 3 minors to your account without any costs when using any of the subscription package. However, requesting data on behalf of minor(s) does add to the daily limit, so please keep that in mind.

2. Can I still request data if I have reached the daily limit?

Answer: Yes, however, you will have to use HT credits or action packages for the data requests once the daily limit has been reached on subscription.

3. How can I cancel my subscription?

Answer: Go to subscription page on your wallet, you will see a banner with your current subscription. Click 'Edit' and then click 'Manage'. You will be directed to App Store or Play Store where you can edit or cancel your subscription. Please pay attention to the renewal date when you want to edit or cancel your subscription.

Upcoming: Verdict TikTok hearing on September 6th, 2023

Following a hearing on June 28th regarding admissibility of plaintiffs, applicable law and designation of exclusive representative, the date for the (interlocutory) judgment has been determined to be on Wednesday, September 6th. This will conclude the second phase of the proceeding where an exclusive representative will be selected out of the 3 foundations to represent TikTok users in the collective claim against TikTok.
