Your Voice, Our Stand. Addressing consumer's concerns over privacy risks
Big Tech companies, like Meta, TikTok, and X (formerly Twitter), have been collecting personal data, manipulating what we see, and profiting from it. Often without our consent.
SOMI is committed to addressing these issues and advocate for consumers by demanding more protection, freedom of choice and transparency. In addition, we seek compensation for the damage caused by these companies.
In this fight, everyone can play an active role.
To address people’s concern and address our effort on behalf of consumers, we sent out a survey, asking our recipients to share with us how they feel about big tech.
At SOMI, we consider it useful to involve our participants as much as possible in the decision-making process. Every feedback helps us give a structure to our collective claims, while empowering our community to stand for a better digital future.
We then discussed the results during the live session, which took place on Friday 6th of March, from 4pm to 5pm. Moreover, we answered the most recurring questions about our work and walk the our audience through the claim process in detail. The event has been streamed live on YouTube.
